Persian Dance Lessons in the Bay Area
Move to the rhythms of music from the Silk Road region while learning the fundamentals of Persian classical dance, which is a flowing, soft style that emanates femininity, grace and delicacy. Miniature and regional folkloric Persian dances will also be presented. Movements vary from tribal and upbeat from the south of Iran that gets your heart pumping to delicate movements which will tone your arms. Each class will include a grounding, centering warm up and focus on technique of body position, various steps and arm movements, turns and spins, culminating with learning a short choreographed phrase.

Shadan helps brides and grooms prepare for their big day with a couple different options. Private lessons are available to teach general social dance skills for Persian and Afghan weddings (for the bridal couple and wedding parties). A special first dance can also be choreographed and taught (bride and groom typically choose the song and style) in private lessons. Please reach out to inquire about availability and specifics to add dance into your event. Wedding performances are also an option — Shadan and her duet partner can present the bride and groom to their reception with an entrance dance or perform a set of classical Persian dances. Options and pricing available upon request.
For private lessons, contact Shadan at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (650) 600-9612.
